Michael and I were driving down US 641 recently en route from Fredonia to Eddyville when I spied the beautiful cattle pictured here. I shrieked so loudly that he turned around to take me back for a better look (and a couple of pics). If you know anything about me, you know that I’m the world’s biggest animal lover. Having the pleasure of seeing these beautiful animals tickled me to the core. I was like a kid on Christmas morning.
I love that they each turned and looked right at us. When we pulled up, they were looking this way, that way, and every which way – but as soon as I began taking pictures, they all looked right at me. And I thought our daughters were hams.
Unfortunately, my camera’s battery decided it was too pooped to pop, so I had to use my iPad Mini to take these pictures. That means the quality is fantastic, but zooming isn’t an option. Needless to say, I would have LOVED to zoom in on these beautiful animal’s faces.
Just wait until you hear about the amazing food we had in Fredonia. The restaurant was adorable and the food was some of the best food I’ve ever put in my mouth. I’ve got the pictures to prove it I’ll write the review and publish it tomorrow morning.
