Hiking Trail at Cumberland Falls State Resort Park: A Photographer’s Dream Come True!
I’ve had a lifelong fascination with anything and everything related to Native Americans – their way of life, their dress, their meals, their customs, and (of course) the fact that someone else got credit for “discovering” their home!
Beautiful Cumberland Falls State Resort Park will pay homage to Native Americans during the weekend of March 22-24, 2013.
Native American Weekend will be about the traditions, culture and history of Native Americans.
The schedule includes storytelling and flute music on Friday; Indian myths, Indian activities and sites near the park, and dancing on Saturday; and the role of spirituality on Sunday.
The Riverview Restaurant will have its annual buffalo buffet Saturday evening, March 23, for $21.95 a person from 4:30-8 p.m. – but this animal lover is pretending she doesn’t see that. Nope, never happened…
Mention the Native American Weekend and get a 10 percent off of lodging at Cumberland Falls.
Cumberland Falls State Resort Park has a lodge, Riverview Restaurant, cottages, campground, hiking trails, fishing, horseback riding, rafting, other recreational activities and a great view of Cumberland Falls.
