Rabbit Tracks in the Snow!
Yesterday morning, we awoke to a beautiful surprise – snow covered the ground and trees, turning our yard into a Winter Wonderland. While this baseball fanatic is SO ready for baseball season to start, I do turn into a three year old little girl when it snows. So, I was pretty giddy.
When I looked out the window, I saw one of our resident rabbits hopping through the snow (after enjoying the “salad bar” I always leave out for them). I grabbed my camera and raced out to take a picture of its tracks. Pretty cute, huh?
I’d forgotten just how QUIET, serene, and peaceful snowy mornings are. Everything seemed so still and (literally) frozen in time. It reminded me of the magic of winter and I fell in love with it all over again…. even though I am ready for warm weather and its own personal blend of magic.
- Baseball Season
- Visiting Kentucky State Parks more often
- Trips to Land Between the Lake
- Grilling Out
- Hiking at Panther Creek Park
- Did I mention Baseball season?! (Go St. Louis Cardinals!)
As I’m typing the words, I’m looking out the window. The snow is almost entirely gone already. While part of me hates to see it fade away, like the squirrel eating at the feeder, the biggest part of me is ready to say, “Farewell, for now. See you next year!”
