I don’t know how many places we’ve seen showcased on Kentucky Life that we simply had to go check out… as in immediately! I do know the most recent place, however: A diner in downtown Winchester called Stinky and Coco’s Diner. We are totally obsessed with locally-owned restaurants and if they’re “off the beaten path,” all the better.
When I learned that Stinky and Coco’s were actually the owner’s cats, I knew we’d have to go right away. As a cat lover, myself, I must say I’m drawn to other cat lovers like a magnet.
The young lady who served us was a real sweetheart. Honestly, she couldn’t have been any sweeter if she were covered in molasses. I also liked the off beat and cozy ambiance of the little diner.
Michael ordered shrimp and grits which had a really good flavor. He ate them so fast I don’t think he had any complaints, whatsoever!
A hamburger and fries seemed like the right thing to do in a diner, so I went that route. The hand cut fries were really good. As in really, really good. The burger was pretty good, itself.
The diner was clean, the service was incredibly friendly, and the food was darn good. If you’re in Winchester, Ky, be sure to pay a visit to this cool little diner. In the meantime, check out Stinky and Coco’s Diner online.
