Thomas More College Football Program Hosts a Regional Coaching Clinic

CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY (April 20, 2009) — Thomas More College football continues to impress following a dynamic 2008 season that featured a President’s Athletic Conference championship and a bracket in the NCAA Division III playoffs. The football program, led by 2008 PAC Coach of the Year, Jim Hilvert, has shown incredible growth under his leadership both on the field and off. The Blue and Silver Football Clinic is one of the region’s most anticipated new events on the coaching circuit and is sure to become a staple in annual coaching education.

“The Blue and Silver Football Clinic will focus on offensive and defensive strategies, individual position assignments, as well as player and team development through seminars given by the top high school and college coaches in the region,” said Brian Sheehan, Offensive Coordinator, Thomas More College football.

The all-day event, which takes place on May 9, 2009 will feature coaches from Bowling Green State University, University of Kentucky, University of Cincinnati in addition to several of the region’s most competitive high school coaches. Coach Jim Hilvert and his staff will also be leading seminars on winning dynamics and strategies.

The Thomas More Saints are a Division III football team and part of the President’s Athletic Conference (PAC). Head Coach Jim Hilvert who was recently named PAC’s 2008 Coach of the Year has lead the Saints for two seasons. In 2008, 18 Saints were named All-PAC with one player later named an All-American.
