Green Turtle Bay Condominiums
Green Turtle Bay Resort & Marina in Grand Rivers Kentucky sits beautifully on Lake Barkley and is just minutes from Kentucky Lake, Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park, and Land Between the Lakes.

This picture is from a storm we had here in Owensboro this past May. Different parts of the city saw different amounts of rain, wind, and hail. Frederica was a hot mess but we were pretty much spared on our side of town. The picture above is from a trip my daughter Stephany and her boyfriend to where the real action was. Dancing stop signs and all!

Breathtakingly Beautiful Kentucky Lake
We’re going to begin something new here on Genuine Kentucky. Inspired by the beautiful Kentucky Lake and Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park this weekend, I’m going to start posting a Kentucky Picture of the Day on the website.
Why? For one thing, these pictures will bring a sense of pride to those of us who call Kentucky home and, for another, they’ll hopefully draw other people to our state. We love, love, love visitors here in Kentucky and what better way to entice them than to show off our state’s ridiculous beauty?
You can help with the proverbial strutting of our considerable stuff by posting these pictures (or any of the pictures on Genuine Kentucky) on Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr… anyplace you can spread the word about all the beauty we’re sitting on here. (So to speak!)
I’ll love you forever if you could help promote Kentucky and if you could link back to Genuine Kentucky while doing it, I’ll love you for two forevers.

The pandemic has crushed many activities, events, and normalcy – not just in Kentucky, but all around the world. As we creep back toward normal, I want desperately to highlight any and all events going on around Kentucky. Please E-mail me any information you’d like shared about your Kentucky event! ~ Joi (“Joy”)
