Michael and I spend so much time at Kentucky Lake, Lake Barkley, and Land Between the Lakes that I’m honestly not sure if I took the pictures here two weeks ago or three.Ã? I’d almost bet my coffee pot on two. Almost.
Irregardless of WHEN we were on this particular trip through LBL, the experience was insanely beautiful and unbelievably relaxing, as always. When we pulled into the Cedar Pond Picnic area – on Cedar Pond (go figure) – Michael said exactly what I was thinking, “There’s a Picture of the Day waiting to happen.”
The trees were just beginning to turn, making the entire scene like something out of a painting.Ã? When I saw the trees reflecting in Cedar Pond, I couldn’t whip out my camera fast enough.Ã? As you’ll see in the pictures below, this is one remarkably beautiful and serene place for a picnic.
A bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken, coleslaw, mashed potatoes and gravy, iced tea… can you say Heaven on earth?!
IfÃ? at all possible, I hope you’ll hot foot it to Land Between the Lakes (LBL) this weekend, if not sooner. The leaves are changing colors and there are a million and one photo ops. Literally everywhere you look.
Be sure to check out our galleries for more pictures of Land Between the Lakes (LBL).
