
Buckhorn Lodge, built with Bedford sandstone and trimmed with wood paneling is a sight to behold all in itself. You can relax in front of the copper-hooded fireplace or experience nature the way it was intended to be experienced on the lodge veranda.
Each of the 36 rooms features private balconies or patios…. and, why not? If your lodge is situated in the middle of paradise, why not show it off?! Allow your visitors to get their fill of the views of Buckhorn Lake and the surrounding mountains. Buckhorn Lake State Park offers cottages as well as lodge rooms. Two two-bedroom executive cottages, and one three-bedroom cottages are available. Tableware and cooking utensils are provided, and linens are available daily.
Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park’s restaurant, Bowlingtown Country Kitchen, features a country menu and hometown favorites. You’ll enjoy outstanding food as you soak up the spectacular mountain scenery in the 210-seat restaurant. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner year-round.
The two-stories of Buckhorn Lake Conference Center provide 2,775 square feet of meeting space accommodating 180 people in banquet seating. Click for more information.
Things to Do at Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park
Boating: The beautiful 1,200 acre Buckhorn Lake offers a marina, boating and fishing supplies, 95 open slips, two launching ramps, rental pontoon boats, and fishing boats.
Fishing: Buckhorn Lake has an abundance of largemouth and Kentucky bass,crappie, bluegill, channel catfish, and muskie.
Miniature Golfing: Flaunt your Miniature golf skills on the 18-hole miniature golf course. Open April 1st to October 31st.
Swimming: The lodge swimming pool is for the exclusive use of lodge and cottage guests. The public beach has a bathhouse complex for visitor convenience. Swimming is seasonal. Beach is open Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Nature Trails: Two self-guided trails: A 1.5 mile trail and a .75 mile trail. Opportunities for mountain hiking that’ll blow your mind are endless.
More: A tennis court, shuffleboard court, sandpit volleyball court, and horseshoe pits are available for park guests. Overnight guests may check out equipment. There are also picnic facilities available at various spots within the park.
