Road Trippin’ in Kentucky
I’ve always (always, always, always…) been fascinated to the point of obsession with photography. I’ve never equipped myself with expensive cameras or whatnots because I’m really just a very basic kind of gal.
Translated: I don’t trust myself to be able to figure out all the techy stuff. My family can vouch for me – I do well to operate a cellphone.
I do, however, love to take pictures – especially of animals, my family, birds, trees, and every conceivable thing within the state borders of Kentucky.
My home state inspires me and blows me away even when it isn’t trying.
Something I’ve fallen in love with is what I call “Road Trippin’ in Kentucky.” I take “bursts” of photographs as we drive down the road. Mind you, I never do this when I’M driving – only when I’m in the passenger seat.
When I get home and go through the MANY pictures, obviously, most of them can be deleted immediately – however, a lot of times, I’ll come away with pictures I love like the ones here. When I saw the one that’s at the top, I thought, “Well, isn’t that the perfect symbol of Kentucky Road Trippin’?!”

Kentucky Picture – Taken Near Leitchfield
The picture above just screams Kentucky to me. The beautiful scenery, my beloved trees, and the pickup truck that was generous enough to show up in just the right spot – they make my inner shutterbug shake with giddiness.
I was also especially fond of the one below. You know me and my trees – how could I not love this one? There is and always has been something about the sun (or moon, for that matter) shining through trees that puts me in a VERY peaceful place. Kind of a mental forest!

I also love the cool light effects that’ll often show up when taking pictures from the road, like the one below. Some people would cast these pictures aside but I think they’re far too cool for that.
