View from a Canoe Trip on Honker Lake
Honker Lake is located near the Woodland’s Nature Station in the Land Between the Lakes. While Canoe trips on the shallow lake are frequently scheduled throughout the warmer months, you can rent canoes or kayaks at the Nature Station to explore on your own.
I would, personally, recommend taking a guided tour first. The guides offer equal helpings of information and entertainment with tons of learning and laughter. They’re able to identify birds as well as point out osprey and eagle nests as well as beaver lodges.
Honker Lake would be the IDEAL place to learn to canoe or kayak. The lake is shallow, calm, and incredibly peaceful. I honestly can’t imagine a better spot in the world for canoeing or kayaking.
