With the exception of people in Wal-Mart at 9:00pm, most things in Kentucky are as photographic as it gets. While a lot of our cities are beautiful and more than picture-worthy, Genuine Kentucky can be found in the country, in what most of us affectionately call “the country” or “the sticks.” A more formal name, I suppose, would be Rural Kentucky. The hills, trees, farms, horses, barns, cows, wildflowers… that’s where the magic is. If I had a dollar for everytime I’ve made my husband pull over so I could take a picture, I’d be able to buy him a new golf bag and golf cart to put it in.
Come to think of it, I could probably buy him his own golf course.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words and, in the case of Kentucky, I’d say that’s 100 percent true. We could use up all the words in the English language (and even borrow some from other languages), but we could never truly describe how beautiful or special our beloved state is.
You’ll have to just see for yourself in our growing collection of pictures of Kentucky! Also, be sure to check out our Pictures of the Day.
