Visitors can learn how farm families faced the challenges of keeping the family fed and clothed, and the farm operating, often with no men, draft animals, or seeds to plant a cash crop. People can also visit a Confederate encampment on the farm, talk to civilian soldiers, and learn about a soldiers’ life.” – Cindy Earls, Lead Homeplace Interpreter
