Beautiful Pine Mountain State Resort Park in Pineville, Kentucky will celebrate the State Parks’ 90th anniversary with a special event Aug. 9. Bring your family and enjoy a dinner (including cake for dessert!), music, and a 20-minute archival film, Civilian Conservation Corps in Pine Mountain State Park (1938), preserved and presented by Appalshop, at the C.V. Whitney Convention Center beginning at 5 p.m.

Pine Mountain has a lodge, cottages and full-service restaurant. The park is located just south of Pineville on U.S. 25 E and 10 miles north of Middlesboro.
