My youngest daughter and I were on our way to Panther Creek Park (Owensboro) to hike yesterday when we decided to take a long route and enjoy the scenery. After we had to stop, like 5 times, to take pictures, we decided that we were giving all new meaning to the phrase long route!
It’s just impossible to drive through Kentucky and not find a million and one things to take pictures of – whether they’re physical pictures with a camera or mental pictures with your mind’s eye.
We both love animals like it’s our job, so we paused with the beauties shown here for about 10 minutes. The background was almost as beautiful as the horses, themselves.
Almost.
As we drove a little further, we thought how ironic it is that some people never take the time to look around and appreciate the beauty around them. They think they have to drive miles and miles to find anything worth seeing – all the while they’re surrounded by unspeakable beauty. The proof’s in the pictures, as they say.
