Central City is no exception. A mere 10 minutes on this particular trip proved my point.
When we drove by, I told my husband that I’d spotted the Blues Brothers getting all kinds of freaky in a restaurant. He knew that I had “Kentucky Picture of the Day” in mind, so he turned around to take me and my camera to meet the duo. As we were doing just that, a worker stepped out of a neighboring pizza restaurant. The aroma that followed her brought me to my knees. If that pizza tastes even half as good as it smells, some of the best pizza in the world might just be in Central City.
She was a total sweetheart – very warm and welcoming. Later, it hit me that, yet again, a downtown had its finger on its town’s pulse. Central City is full of personality, eccentricity, and charm and it’s downtown doesn’t keep it under wraps.
Rock on, Central City.
